Daniel Evans Animations

Animations, work in progress and other nice things.
After Effects codec experiment.
In the quest for high quality and low file size, photo jpeg seems to be the next best thing to .avi format. But the file size is still huge when compared to Quicktime H2.64 exported through Media Encoder with the compromise of blurry lines and minor colour distortion.
However, this was tested on animation footage so the difference may be more noticeable on some recorded footage in which case I’ll post some images.

I submitted this animation about a security guard and a flight of escalators in March for my final year project at Bradford University. Enjoy!

Feedback is always welcome.

Pre-production for this project began in November ‘10 and most of the animation was done in February using Maya 2011 and After Effects CS5.

Originally this was intended to run for just one minute, but it was only untill the last few weeks before the deadline that I realised how many hours would be needed to refine the animation and as a result this is still a work in progress that I’m hoping put more time into after I’ve completed my other two modules for this year.
